About the company

One of the company’s areas of expertise is the implementation of television systems on yachts. In such cases, solution stability, ease of deployment, and the ability to operate in a closed environment without internet access are especially important. That is why the partner was looking for a technology that would make it possible to quickly build a clear and manageable TV system on board.
Project objective
The partner’s goal was to implement a simple and reliable television infrastructure for yachts. The project architecture was based on the use of satellite signal and Linux set-top boxes in a fully isolated environment without internet access. Under such conditions, it was especially important that all system components be prepared in advance and require no complex on-site configuration.
Logistics became an additional challenge. The equipment had to be delivered to the port within the short time window when the vessel was at berth. Successful project implementation required not only suitable devices and a software platform, but also a high level of supply flexibility with the ability to quickly switch between warehouses.
Infomir solution
To complete the system, the team selected an Infomir solution based on Linux set-top boxes and Ministra PRO middleware. This configuration made it possible to create an isolated television system with centralized service management and convenient equipment setup.
Infomir provided support at every stage: it supplied the middleware, advised on solution configuration, and supported the launch process. As a result, the partner received a reliable foundation for deploying TV infrastructure on yachts without the need for an internet connection or additional components that would complicate the architecture.
Project implementation
The collaboration lasted about six months. During this time, the teams worked together on the solution architecture, configured the system, and organized equipment deliveries taking into account the project’s non-standard logistics conditions.
One of the key tasks was the prompt shipment of devices to different ports within strictly limited time frames. To ensure projects were completed on time, Infomir quickly redistributed supplies between warehouses and helped the partner assemble orders depending on the vessel’s location. This approach enabled the integrator to stay on schedule even under challenging international logistics conditions.
The successful implementation of the project became the foundation for further cooperation. Today, the relationship between the partner and Infomir has grown into an ongoing collaboration, and joint projects continue in different regions of the world.
